Maurzio’s grandfather emigrated from Italy after World War I and arrived in Valpariso at the age of 16 with little more than his wits to sustain him. In the ensuing years he established a number of businesses before buying a vineyard in Colchagua. His son joined the enterprise in 1952, having studied enology back in Alba, Italy. They made wines together until 1973
